Who they Are:
We have been in business since 1954. My grandfather (E.W. Ramsey) had a skating rink. He started bringing in supplies not just for himself, but for other rinks in the area. That part of the business took off, and he eventually got out of the skating rink side of things to focus exclusively on the skate distribution business.
Product Line:
We sell skates and skating supplies. We also do floor coatings for skating rinks, snack bar machines, carpet, loose parts, etc. that skating rinks use.
Advice to Online Retailers:
Focus on customer service and proper sizing of the skates. Try to learn about the different types of skates, so you can answer the questions the customers are going to have. We have several retailers that are selling skates full time, some of the larger ones can do $100,000 or more per year!
