Why Dropshipping?
First real quick.. a dropshipper is a wholesale supplier that will break apart a case of products, and repackage into individual boxes and ship to your end customer for you. So basically they are your wholesaler and fulfillment center all in one.
But why dropshipping? It is the cheapest and easiest way to get into selling products online. Simple as that.
You are buying at wholesale prices, but it’s not the BEST wholesale prices. Wholesale works in tiers. The more you buy, the cheaper each individual item gets. So when you are buying one at a time, your wholesale price isn’t as great as if you were buying say…12 at a time.
But if you are new to online selling and want to try out different products or find things with good enough profit margins, but can’t buy minimum order amounts and don’t want to stock and ship the products then dropshipping is for you.
Dropshipping Has Limits
Many and I mean MANY wholesale suppliers will NOT dropship, but are willing to accept minimum orders of $500 or often less than that. So light bulk is a popular area in our B2B Wholesaler Directory.
So once you find products that sell well with dropshipping, consider purchasing in bulk to get even more profit.
Also remember, there is not a Dropshipping supplier for every product on the planet. You can’t get ANYTHING drop shipped. It’s not possible because many brands aren’t even looking to add any more retailers!
So don’t get your heart set on something first. Do your research and figure out what you should be selling. Find a problem and offer solutions to that problem.
