Day 7: A Merchant Account

On Day 4, we talked about getting a business bank account so that you have a place that the credit card companies will deposit your customers' payments.

A Merchant Account is the tool that collects that money from your customer's credit card, and deposits the money in your Business Bank Account.

You'll hear people suggesting that you use PayPal instead. While it's good to have PayPal, you'll find that only about 40% of people will use PayPal to buy from you. You'll find that about 60% will want to use a credit card directly. Don't miss out on that 60%!
